Glow Getter

one . two . three . four . five . six . seven . eight . nine

Lately my skin has been giving me a really hard time.  My face goes a little crazy when the seasons are on the change - especially from Summer to Fall.  I initially got back into using illuminators as a way to deflect my current skin issues, but as my skin is getting better I am still loving the glowy look they give me. I have listed a few different types of illuminators in three different price categories.  I think the inexpensive versions are great to try until you know who love the look and are ready to commit to a more expensive brand. And while I do love my pricey cosmetics, I don't always have the money to splurge and I think their less expensive counterparts are pretty awesome too.

New Booties

A couple of weeks ago, I wrote this post about cute booties for the fall.  I received the pair that I ordered shortly after that post and have been wearing them non stop.  They are so comfortable and practically go with everything; a good investment all around! I have paired them here with some jersey knit harem pants that I bought in the UK and a loose tank.  Although we have been lucky enough to have experienced some fall like weather over the past two weeks, this week we will be living in the high 80's.  Once I get to work I'll cover up, but until then it's all sleeveless.

Joie De Vivre

It is the happiest of Fridays! This morning I am headed to the airport to pick up my mom and spend the weekend in lovely Savannah.  I can't wait to see her and spend the weekend exploring a new city together.  We've got a couple of things planned, but are mostly keeping our options open for anything that pops up.

Is there anything is Savannah that we must see? Do share!

Have a great weekend!

Five Fall Beauty Trends to Try

One of my most favorite seasons for trying out new beauty trends is the Fall.  I love staying on top of whats new and have definitely been keeping an eye on the beauty trends for Fall 2014.  Here are some pictures of looks for the Fall that I'd like to try.  The great thing about most of these trends is that you can probably achieve them with beauty items that you already own.

Fall Staples: On the Go

one . two . three . four . five . six . seven

I am super excited about this upcoming weekend.  My mom is flying to Georgia and we are going to spend the weekend exploring Savannah.  It is a belated birthday celebration for her and I seriously can't wait.  While mentally planning what I might pack for the weekend, I realized that we will probably be doing a lot of walking around the city, touring, shopping, eating, etc. So, then I started picturing the perfect fall outfit for being on the move and I just had to put it in a collage. So here it is: my idea of a comfy chic fall outfit for being on the go.  Enjoy!

Fall Recipes To Try

one . two . three . four . five . six . seven

The season of pumpkin loving craziness is now upon us.  I, myself have been guilty of buying just about anything with the label "Pumpkin Spice."  This year, I really want to embrace the fall and try some new things in the kitchen.  I am trying to get back into the swing of pinning on Pinterest more frequently, and while I was on last week I was very inspired by all the fall dishes, snacks, and drinks popping up.  So ... that brings me to this post: A fall making/eating/drinking bucket list, if you will and only two pumpkin items on there (does squash count as pumpkin?).  This also got me to thinking that I'd love to be in a baking/cooking club - kind of like a book club, but instead you get together and try new things that each person has made.  Does that already exist? If so, I want in!

Cozy Lace & Skinnes

I bought this top back in May, right before the heat of the Summer really began here in Georgia.  I knew it wouldn't be something that I would wear right away, but I just couldn't resist.  I don't generally buy things that I can't wear right away, but I just loved the coziness paired with the pretty lace detailing.  Well, it's finally Fall and I am so pleased to say that  we have been experiencing much cooler weather down here.  I couldn't be more excitied to be breaking out some of my favorite fall clothes.  I paired this top with a couple different bottoms during our trip to Wales, but decided that I like it best with these Treasure&Bond jeans that I bought before our trip.  These jeans look good, are super comfortable, and sell at a reasonable price point.  Be sure to check them out if you're in the market for a new pair of skinnies.  Fun fact:  when you buy Treasure&Bond, Nordstrom donates a portion of the proceeds to Girls Inc. - pretty cool!

I just purchased my favorite charm from the Pandora 2014 Autumn collection.  Check it out here!  I love the name, Love & Guidance - two things I can always use.
